A Journey Through the Sirah: The Life of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ

This course offers an in-depth exploration of the Sirah, the biography of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). Moving beyond a simple historical account, we delve into the timeless lessons and spiritual wisdom of his life through discussions and a reflection journal, deepening our knowledge of, connection to and love for our beloved Prophet Muhammed ﷺ.

You will journey through the pivotal moments of his (ﷺ) mission from the first revelation to the establishment of the Muslim community gaining a clear and structured understanding of the Sirah. The course emphasizes deep reflection on the character, struggles, and victories of the Prophet (ﷺ), making his example a practical source of guidance for our life.

Our journey through the Sirah will culminate in a transformative opportunity: a spiritual pilgrimage to Makkah and Madinah Dec.31, 2026 to Jan.10, 2027. This blessed journey will allow us to walk in the footsteps of the Prophet (ﷺ), visiting the sacred lands where Islam was revealed and solidified, bringing the lessons of the course to life in a tangible and transformative experience.

  • Age: 14 to 104. Women and men, everyone is welcome.

All lessons will be live on zoom. A recording will be available for those unable to attend live and to review the lessons at your own pace.

Our Approach

Our live cohort-based courses bring sacred knowledge directly to you. Guided by our teachers, you will explore the life and teachings of the Prophet ﷺ in depth — with opportunities for discussion, reflection, and personal application.

Live sessions are complemented by recordings, so you can revisit lessons at your own pace. Whether online or on the ground, our goal remains the same: to move you from theory to lived reality.

Ustadha Noura Shamma

Founder and principle teacher

Ustadha Noura Shamma is a teacher and speaker, whose core intention is to help instill a deep and abiding love for the Prophet ﷺ in her students. Her teaching spans the Sirah, early Islamic history, world history, and fiqh of worship; always with the goal of bringing sacred knowledge to life for her students.

Born in the American Midwest and raised between Italy, Saudi Arabia, and the United States, Ustadha Noura's journey has been one of seeking knowledge across continents. She holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Cincinnati, an M.A. in Middle Eastern Studies from Indiana University, and completed coursework for a Ph.D. in Islamic Thought through the International Institute of Islamic Thought and Civilization (ISTAC) in Malaysia.

She spent years studying Arabic and the Islamic Sciences at institutes including the American University of Cairo, Qasid Institute, and Zaytuna Institute, and studied privately with scholars including Shaykh Akram Abdul Wahab, Shaykh Ali Hani, and Shaykh Ahmad Abdul Jabbar.

Ustadha Noura has taught both online and on the ground across the US, the UK, Norway, Canada, and Jordan. From 2015 to 2019, she helped coordinate the EDEP Summer School for Advanced Islamic Studies in Istanbul.

In 2018, she founded *Love Requited* — a platform dedicated to inspiring Muslims to learn and live the blessed Sirah. After the organization naturally wound down following the pandemic, she founded Clearlight Collection in 2025 to combine her love of teaching and travel, bringing people together to study the life of the Prophet ﷺ, walk in his blessed footsteps, and connect with the global Ummah.

Ustadha Noura greatest joy is seeing her students expand their knowledge of and love for the Prophet ﷺ and begin to embody his teachings in their daily lives, bringing that light back to their families and communities.
