At Clearlight Academy, we believe that sacred knowledge is not meant to remain on the page it is meant to be lived. Our courses are designed to deepen your understanding of the Prophet's ﷺ life and teachings, reshaping the heart and refining our actions along the way.

Our Approach

We follow the Prophetic model of learning combining scholarly rigor with spiritual cultivation. Our courses are cohort-based, allowing you to journey alongside fellow seekers, learning together and growing together.

Live sessions are complemented by recordings, so you can revisit lessons at your own pace. Whether online or on the ground, our goal remains the same: to move you from theory to lived reality.

Our Teachers

Ustadha Noura Shamma

Founding Teacher

Ustadha Noura Shamma is a teacher and speaker striving for a deep and abiding love for the Prophet ﷺ. Her teaching spans the Sirah, world history, and fiqh always with the goal of bringing sacred knowledge to life for her students.

Born in the American Midwest and raised between Italy, Saudi Arabia, and the United States, Ustadha Noura's journey has been one of seeking knowledge across continents. She holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Cincinnati, an M.A. in Middle Eastern Studies from Indiana University, and completed coursework for a Ph.D. in Islamic Thought through the International Institute of Islamic Thought and Civilization (ISTAC) in Malaysia.

She has spent years studying Arabic and the Islamic Sciences at institutes including the American University of Cairo, Qasid Institute, and Zaytuna Institute, and has studied privately with scholars including Shaykh Akram Abdul Wahab, Shaykh Ali Hani, and Shaykh Ahmad Abdul Jabbar.

Ustadha Noura has taught both online and on the ground across the US, the UK, Norway, Canada, and Jordan. From 2015 to 2019, she helped coordinate the EDEP Summer School for Advanced Islamic Studies in Istanbul.

In 2018, she founded *Love Requited* — a platform dedicated to inspiring Muslims to learn and live the blessed Sirah. After the organization naturally wound down following the pandemic, she founded Clearlight Collection in 2025 to combine her love of teaching and travel, bringing people together to study the life of the Prophet ﷺ, walk in his blessed footsteps, and connect with the global Ummah.

Ustadha Noura greatest joy is seeing her students develop their own love for the Prophet ﷺ and begin to embody his teachings in their daily lives, bringing that light back to their families and communities.
